Bedford Presbyterian Church has been an integral part of this mission since the Food Pantry began in the late 1980's. Located at the United Methodist Church in Mount Kisco, the Food Pantry currently serves an average of 145 households per week. This is an increase of 125% from 2008. Clients are those in need of having their food needs supplemented. The Food Pantry supplies enough balanced nutrition for 3 meals. The Food Pantry has an Excutive Director and a Board of Directors consisting of representatives of 13 local faith organizations. Currently Harriette Scott and Lila Cummings represent BPC.
How you can help? The Pantry is open on Tuesday evenings from 5p-7p and Wednesday mornings from 9a-11a. Every two months it is our church's responsibility to oversee the distribution of food. When volunteers are needed, we would be most appreciative of your willingness to help out. If you cannot help out, your financial contribution is most welcome and goes directly to buying food from the Westchester Food Bank.
