Mission Committee

The Mission Committee identifies opportunities to help people in need and coordinates many outreach programs for the church. On an annual basis, the committee determines the allocation of funds to many of the organizations listed in this guide. The committee actively seeks members who are interested in participating in and coordinating both current and new programs.

What Our Church Does: 10% of pledges and offerings go to the Unified Mission Support of the Presbyterian Church USA for global and regional needs. The Mission Committee disperses an additional 3% of the budget to many local causes. It also coordinates and recruits volunteers for outreach programs.

What You Can Do:
  • Plan mission programs and funding
  • Coordinate an outreach programs
  • Represent our church to community organizations and other churches involved in outreach
  • Publicize outreach efforts and encourage others to participate
  • Come to a monthly meeting
When: Monthly meetings and special events
